Overall, Mochiko promises and delivers a memorable taste of Hawaii right here in Charlottesville. With quick service, hearty portions, and a menu that ensures there is something for everyone, it's no wonder that the praises keep rolling in. As Olivia Sciarappa mentioned, if you’re passing through or living nearby, this eatery is definitely worth a visit. Based on the delightful feedback from customers and the freshness of the offerings, counting down the days until my next visit seems well warranted.
“ Visited just once on our way through, but it was very good and will definitely go again. We did take out and the various dishes held up well after a 20 minute sit. The one suggestion was I found the chicken in the katsu to be overly thin--I could barely notice the chicken (and I love panko). ”
“ The food is really good and if it’s nice out the patio seating is convenient. The chicken Katsu curry was so good and the Hawaiian bbq sauce was amazing ”
“ One of my clients recently told me about this place and I couldn’t wait to try it! I had the Hawaiian BBQ chicken with Cucumber Kim Chee and Mac Salad. Also a small side of Poke. It was delicious!! The Poke was nice generous chunks and immediately brought me back to my days living and working in Hawaii! Chicken was cooked perfectly and the marinade YUM! I recommend everyone to try them out! Large portions for the price! I will for sure be back! ”
“ Came here to visit my friend in UVA. The food was so good, and it was at a really good price. I definitely recommend it. There isn’t a lot of seating inside, but we got lucky and got a good table. ”

“ This is my current favorite poke location in cville. Staff are super friendly and service is quick. Food tastes great and portions are right. It’s more of a to-go place, limited seating inside, but outside seating is nice. ”
“ Ordered to go, some indoor and outdoor seating. Nice location with ample parking. We enjoyed the beef teriyaki with brown rice and cucumbers. Also had the Hawaiian macaroni salad-yum! ”
“ I really liked this place. I placed a pickup order for lunch. Ordered the Hawaiian bbq chicken w/ green beans and Mac salad. Also got the quinoa patties. Sauces are also really good. Healthy and quick option - I’ll definitely be back. ”
